The Canadian Council on Health Services Accreditation (CCHSA)
plays a unique role in the delivery of health and social services
by assisting health service organizations, across Canada and
internationally, to examine and improve the quality of care and
service they provide to their clients.
Continuous quality improvement is the pivotal motivation for
participating in accreditation. Organizations that seek accreditation
understand there is always room for growth. CCHSA clients want
to improve their standards and services and are committed to
raising the bar to strive for higher quality service.
It is the patients and clients of these organizations - individuals
across Canada and beyond - who ultimately benefit from accreditation.
Pathways to Independence is fully accredited by the CCHSA. In
2006, we received full accreditation for 3 years. This is the
third time Pathways has met or exceeded the standards of care
mandated by the CCHSA.
